Why Wood Crafters?

WC is a laid back fun fly with optional competition events. It is the premier event to enjoy flying wood built up sailplanes with fellow enthusiasts in a relaxed atmosphere. High tech is great, but so is building and flying kits and our own designs from wood, it takes talent to do this and has the added reward of pride and accomplishment.

I have enjoyed flying wood sailplanes since 1968, competed in the memorable SOAR NATS, and now feel the need to create a flying activity for all the folks that build their sailplanes from wood. I hope you enjoyed this event and will return next year.

Under the new fallen snow, with the moon so bright, my workshop is all a glow,
with visions of my new creation, Osprey, dancing in the fire place light.

From the pile of balsa, pins and glue will come a new and beautiful flying machine
I can truly call my own, to fly enjoy and admire at next years
