1/2 A Schtick

Finally, a 1/2 A that everyone can fly, including beginners. No tip stalls, Recovers very quickly from pilot’s mistakes and is Highly Aerobatic.

 Due to the special airfoil, the wing is built without washout and therefore there is no loss of flight performance. This little beauty will fly easily in high winds or with the power off, it will float around on a summer evening forever. The wing loading is a light 10.6 oz./in. and it is our special airfoil that gives the “Schtick” a large flight speed envelope.

Another benefit of our low drag airfoil is extremely slow and controlled landings. Since it is also impossible to tip stall, you can make a nose high slow three point landing on a dime. Experienced pilots will enjoy the high tech airfoil’s ability to perform aerobatics or if you’re a novice trying to decide what model to start with, this is it.

The kit features LASER CUT wing ribs, accurately machined fuse sides and top, fuse formers, scalloped wing and elevator balsa wood trailing edges, fin and rudder, and pre-shaped top and bottom wing sheeting. The hardware package has wire pushrods with housings, nylon control horns with E-Z connectors, easy hinges, wing hold-down rubber bands, a strong preformed 1/8” wire landing gear, and Dave Brown Lite wheels. Also included are three cockpit decals and six Iron Cross decals for the wing, fuse and fin sides,.

An illustrated construction manual and plans aid in quick construction. Items needed to complete the model are Cox or Norvel .049 engine, one roll of SIG SUPERCOAT in Fokker red or Cub yellow, glue, a one or two oz. fuel tank, and a Perma Grit sander or equivalent.

This model has proven to be very durable and a big attraction at the flying sites. The R/C equipment can be regular full size servos or to attain 20 oz. weight, use micro size r/c and 270Mah rx battery. 36” Span, 270 sq. in. Wing area, 2 channel, ailerons optional.
